Home/Work with us
Whether you are a subject-matter expert, a business owner, a marketing director or an HR manager, there is an approach that fits how you actually buy.

Engagements
Most work falls into one of three shapes. They are priced and run differently, so it is worth knowing which one you are asking for.
Start a project
You have one communication challenge and a date. We scope it, make it and measure it.
Content as an ongoing need rather than a one-off: a plan across web, social and broadcast, built month by month.
For subject-matter experts with an audience. We make the content up front at no charge, and share the revenue it earns.
The project approach
Real Media runs every project in four stages, in order: exploration and discovery, concept development, execution and results. Discovery sets your audience, your message and the action you want from them, the concept is built on what it turned up, we make it, and then we measure whether your audience actually responded.
Every project is different and each demands its own variation. This is the spine that does not change.

01
Before anything is made, we work out where you are going. Your audience, your message and the action you want from them.
02
A concept built on what discovery turned up. This is the part where no idea is wrong, until one of them clearly is the right one.
03
A good idea and a made thing are different problems. We are built for the second one — from national broadcast down to a single nonprofit film.
04
You can only judge results if somebody measures them. We want to see whether your audience actually responded.
Questions
Straight answers about how a project starts and runs.
A project answers one communication challenge with a date: Real Media scopes it, makes it and measures it. A monthly plan treats content as an ongoing need rather than a one-off, with a plan across web, social and broadcast built month by month. The two are priced and run differently, so say which one you are asking for.
An outline is enough. Send us the outline and Real Media will come back with next steps. The rest is our job: the first stage, exploration and discovery, is where we settle what the piece has to do before anything is made.
Yes. If it is only the stage you need, say so when you send the outline. The sets can be booked on their own and you bring your own team, or we supply the crew as well. Real Media’s studio is at 9101 Barton Street in Overland Park; the studio page shows each space.
Subject-matter experts, business owners, marketing directors and HR managers, with an approach that fits how each of them actually buys. The work runs from national broadcast down to a single nonprofit film, made by the Overland Park team at Real Media that has served Kansas City since 1997. See the work.
